Rita Rodrigues, nascida em Aveiro em 1981, é uma jornalista com carreira consolidada na televisão. Licenciada em Jornalismo pela Universidade de Coimbra, iniciou o percurso profissional na imprensa escrita, passou pela rádio e, finalmente, pela televisão. Em 2009, integrou a equipa da TVI para o lançamento da TVI24 e agora está na CNN Portugal onde todas as tardes dá conta do que se passa no mundo.
Em estúdio já conduziu grandes operações como os atentados terroristas em Paris em 2015 e desde o lançamento da CNN Portugal já esteve longas horas em Breaking News com atualizações ao minuto de eventos tão relevantes como as Guerras na Ucrânia ou no Médio Oriente ou as eleições no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos. Com o microfone da CNN na mão, acompanhou toda a Jornada Mundial da Juventude que trouxe o Papa Francisco a Lisboa em 2023.

Rita Rodrigues, born in Aveiro in 1981, is a journalist with an established career in television. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra and began her professional journey in print media, later moving to radio and eventually to television. In 2009, she joined TVI’s team for the launch of TVI24 and is now with CNN Portugal, where she reports on global events every afternoon.
In the studio, she has led major coverage operations, such as the terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015. Since the launch of CNN Portugal, she has spent long hours covering Breaking News with minute-by-minute updates on significant events, including the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as elections in Brazil and the United States. With CNN’s microphone in hand, she covered the entire World Youth Day event that brought Pope Francis to Lisbon in 2023.
