Presidente da câmara de Varsóvia
Rafał Trzaskowski é presidente da câmara de Varsóvia desde 2018, tendo sido reeleito em 2024. Também é membro do Comité Europeu das Regiões e faz parte do Conselho de Eurocities.
Em 2020, Rafał Trzaskowski foi o candidato da Plataforma Cívica à Presidência da Polónia. É ex-deputado, ex-parlamentar europeu e ex-vice-presidente do Partido Popular Europeu. Em 2014, ocupou o cargo de Vice-Ministro das Relações Exteriores da República da Polónia e, em 2013, foi Ministro da Administração e Digitalização no governo do primeiro-ministro Donald Tusk.
Em dezembro de 2019, juntamente com os presidentes das capitais dos outros países do Grupo de Visegrád, assinou o Pacto das Cidades Livres, promovendo "valores comuns de liberdade, dignidade humana, democracia, igualdade e estado de direito".
Rafał Trzaskowski nasceu em Varsóvia, onde estudou e se formou em relações internacionais e filologia inglesa na Universidade de Varsóvia. Também é graduado pelo Colégio da Europa e obteve um doutoramento em ciência política em 2004.

Rafał Trzaskowski is the Mayor of Warsaw since 2018. He was re-elected in 2024. He is also a member of the European Committee of Regions and the Board of Eurocities. In 2020 Rafał Trzaskowski was the Civic Platform’s candidate for the Presidency of Poland. Former MP, MEP and Vice-Chair of the European People’s Party, in 2014 served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and in 2013 as a Minister for Administration and Digitalization in the Cabinet of PM Donald Tusk. Along with the mayors of the capitals of the other Visegrád Group countries, signed the Pact of Free Cities in December 2019 to promote "common values of freedom, human dignity, democracy, equality, rule of law”. Rafał Trzaskowski was born in Warsaw, where he studied and graduated in international relations and English philology at the University of Warsaw. He is also a graduate of the College of Europe. In 2004 he obtained his PhD degree in political science.
