Titular da Cátedra do International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH): Digital Humanities in Education (2020-25). Fundador e director do ILNOVA (Instituto de Línguas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa). Director do Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS), desde 2014, onde dirige o grupo de investigação Teacher Education, Translation and Applied Language Studies (TEALS). Coordenador do Doutoramento em Didáctica das Línguas e do doutoramento em Educação. Membro do Conselho de Faculdade da NOVA FCSH.
