Dezenas de vítimas foram assistidas nas piscinas olímpicas de Londres, o London Aquatics Centre, após libertação de gás cloro, nesta manhã, confirmaram as autoridades londrinas.
O último balanço dos serviços de emergência dá conta de "29 pessoas transportadas ao hospital" e "outras 48 assistidas no local", todas devido a "dificuldades respiratórias".

Segundo os bombeiros, a fuga teve origem numa "reação química", que causou a libertação de uma "alta quantidade de gás cloro".

O espaço foi isolado e cerca de 200 pessoas retiradas. Enquanto decorria a ventilação do centro, as autoridades pediram também aos residentes na área de Stratford para manterem janelas e portas fechadas.
